When you deal with a specialty niche you will be showing people that you are the foremost expert in that area. Even if you do not know more than others, since you are a specialist you will be perceived as an expert in that niche.

You will need to do as much as you can to differentiate yourself from the other insurance agents who you are competing with. It is your job to do this in whatever way you think is best. For example, if you offer a special deal or rate, this is something that you can use to your advantage time and time again. Think about what you have that is unique, and then use it to benefit your business.

Finally, you need to make sure that your product does not become something that can be bought off of just anybody. With the internet, many people feel that buying insurance is all about shopping around for the best rate; they think that customer service is dead. But if you can offer a high level of service to potential buyers you will be ahead of the game from the start.

In today's insurance world the key to success is specialization. The sooner you realize this, the sooner your business will begin to take off in the right direction!
